Chapter 19
Going Back Home
Present 2009
Normal POV
Promotions in Japan is almost at its end. Only a number of concert tours and they can finally go back to Korea . The girls were permitted to stay in Japan as well, as a token for a performance very well executed.
Like Hyun Suk predicted, although they held a closed party in Japan , fan accounts of the new girl group coming from YG Entertainment spread like wildfire in forum sites and fan cafes. Everyone is already anticipating the debut of the new group. They even named them as the female version of Big bang.
So at this moment, the president gave the girls some freedom to have fun and explore the beautiful country, together with the other girls, Chloe, Hye Sun, and In Na.
During their short stay in Japan , the girls developed a sisterly bond; and a day before their flight back to Korea , the girls decided to have an overnight at Chloe's condo. Although they are from the same company, aside from Chloe that is, In Na has to stay and finish some modeling projects in Japan while Hye Sun is headed towards China to visit her friend. Chloe, of course, has to stay, for the meantime, in Japan because of their business.
They slept in Chloe's living room, setting aside the furniture and spread the futon. It's more comfortable that way for they are sure they are not going to fit, all seven of them, in Chloe's bed, no matter how big it is.
They’ve talked about so many things. From the usual things they do everyday to their childhood escapades to their love lives. The older girls has had their own shares of relationship but Chloe found herself the center of attention of all the girls after learning that she had dated a celebrity. In Na and Hye Sun know who this celebrity is, only they want Chloe to tell the story herself. They only hear it anyway from hearsays.
Wanting to get out of this situation, she asked Bom, “How about you Bommie? You’ve never had a relationship before?”
Which Bom dodged, saying she just wanted to change the topic. With all eager eyes looking at her, she sighed in defeat as she recounted her relationship with Jiyong.
“You know, my love story is a bit tragic girls.”
Dara gasped. “Chloe! Your boyfriend died?!!”
She chuckled a bit and pinched Dara’s nose. “No, silly. He is not dead. He is so alive and kickin’.” then her face became serious once again. “I think he did not really love me. So we broke up. The end.” she ended with a sad smile.
This made Bom scoff. “He courted you.”
“Yes.” She answered, not really getting what Bom was implying.
“Well, surely, he loves you even a bit? Why would he ask you to be his girl if he doesn’t love you?”
“Err~ it’s kinda difficult to explain, girl.”
Minzy pouted. "What is so difficult about it?"
"Well, you see it is possible to mistake what you are feeling at a certain moment as love. You might just be attracted to each other but never really in love. In my ex's case, he told me that he loves me but only as a friend. Maybe, he had come to a conclusion that what he felt before when he courted me and when we were together is just a friendly admiration. Complicated girls. Just do not ask. "
"Do you still love him?" In Na asked.
Chloe stayed silent for a moment, not because she's thinking of what to answer. She had been avoiding this question for months, and now she had no choice but to answer. "Yes." Tears wet her beautiful face. "Yes, I still love him and I don't know what to do. I love him so much. Whenever I go to their studio or to the company, my eyes would always search for him. But I can't be more than friends with him. I don't know what I should do...."
Hye sun, who's sitting next to her, hugged her and tried to soothe her. She sobbed helplessly. Somehow, being able to release what's inside her, what has been bugging her for months helped. Crying right now, in front of these ladies lifted a heavy burden eating her day by day as she continued her quest in forgetting her ex-boyfriend.
"Don't worry; he'll realize how stupid he is for letting you go, Chloe." Chaerin murmured.
"Yes, we will help you get him back..." Dara added, wiping her tears away.
::::::
The day of their departure came, Big Bang had finally finished their concerts, which they never had a chance of watching. The four girls are sitting in the waiting area, patiently waiting for their scheduled departure. The managers had already arranged everything. They do not have many things with hem as well, only a few souvenirs to be given to their families and friends back home.
They’ll be in the same flight as their sunbaes.
“What do you think will they wear to hide their identities? They are quite famous here in Japan so they need to disguise themselves.” Bom looked around the area, for any sign of five weird looking people, picturing them wearing some strange outfits or masks.
“I don’t think they are that kind of celebrities who uses masks. Maybe, if they go to Amusement parks but airport? I don’t think so.” Chaerin reasoned out. “One thing is for sure though; Jiyong Sunbae would still be fashionable.”
“Who cares about him? He’s just a big show off.” Dara mumbled.
“Eh? What did you say, unnie?” Minzy stopped from playing some games on her phone.
“Huh?” Dara pretended she did not say anything.
“What did you say? Just a moment ago.”
“No, did not say anything I was just singing!”
A frown appeared on Minzy’s young face. “It did not sound like you were singing… I think you were talking about Oppa…”
“I wasn’t! It’s a lyric from a… from a… from an OPM song in the Philippines ! Yes! haha haha. Never mind me, Yeo-dongsaeng-ah… I just miss listening to those songs so I suddenly mumbled it… hehe”

Jiyong’s POV
A frown appeared on Minzy’s young face. “It did not sound like you were singing… I think you were talking about…”
“I wasn’t! It’s a lyric from a… from a… from an OPM song in the Philippines ! Yes! haha haha. Never mind me, Yeo-dongsaeng-ah… I just miss listening to those songs so I suddenly mumbled it… hehe”
What are they talking about?
I slumped down beside Minzy. “Sunbae!” She hastily stood up and bowed to me. Bom and Chaerin followed suit. My eyes landed on the girl beside Minzy and Bom. She also bowed but it was as if she was just obliged to do so. This girl has an attitude. And also good jacket. She was wearing this grey sneaker track top. Where did she buy that? I want that one too! >.<
Before thinking of coveting her jacket, I raised my hand to acknowledging them. “Annyeong.”
“Are you alone, Sunbae?” Chaerin asked.
“Don’t be so formal with me. You can call me Jiyong or Oppa if I’m older than you.” gave her a small smile. “The others are somewhere around here. Maybe, having some last minute shopping. Did you already buy souvenirs for your family?”
“Deh, o-oppa,” Minzy answered, feeling awkward calling him oppa. “Hye Sun Unnie and In Na Unnie went with us yesterday.”
She’s so cute. I can’t even picture the fierce performers we saw at the club. Are they really those girls?
My eyes strayed to her direction again. Seriously, what’s up with me eyes? It has a life of its own! O.O
She turned sideways and saw me looking at her. Great. Busted. What should I do? What should I do? “H-how about you?”
She shrugged and said, “I went with the others.” then mumbled something.
“Huh?”
“Oh, nothing. I said we went shopping together yesterday.”
“Oh,” I was waiting for her to call me Oppa. I want to hear her call me Oppa! Why isn’t she calling me oppa? “Oppa…”
“What?”
“You should call me oppa, too.” She raised an eyebrow at me. “Well, Minzy already did.” I reasoned out, trying to act cool.
“I don’t have to.” Her answer was short, and it rings finality. Why? But I want to hear her call me oppa!!! >.<
“You should! I am..”
Bom cut my words and said, “Jiyong, Dara really should not call you Oppa. She’s older than you.”
What? (0.o) Older? “She’s…What?” I repeated my thoughts out loud.
“I said, she’s older than you.”
What should I do? Aha! “Well, she should still call me Oppa. She doesn’t look any older than I am.”
“Pabo.”
“YAH!! What did you say?!” She looked around as if she did not know she’s the one I’m talking to.
“Me?”
“You! Who else. Why did you say?!!”
“I said Pabo.”
“You… how disrespectful!!” I felt all my blood rushing to my head. She did not even deny that she insulted me! >:/
“I am not!”
“You called me,” pointing at myself, “stupid.”
“I did not. I just want to eat, Pabo.”
Gggrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! She really wants to die! “YAH! YAH! YAH!”
“What are you so angry about?! It’s just Pabo!!!!” She also stod up from her seat and glared up at me. “I just want to eat Pabo meat!!! I am sooo hungry! What’s your problem?!” then walked away, Bom giggled and followed her, leaving confused.
0.o Eat what? What is she talking about?
The younger girls must have seen my confusion; Chaerin laughed heartily and I must thank her for enlightening me. “Oppa, Pabo is teoki in Philippines . That’s what they call it, Pabo.”
Pabo? Turkey ? Why didn’t she just use Turkey !!!!!! AAArrrrggghhhhh!!!!
I HATE TURKEYS FOREVER!!!!!
