Recap:

I couldn't listen to the song anymore. I yanked the earphone away from me which caught his attention.

"Why?" I want to ask myself "why" too... Why am I affected? Why is it that after hearing the song... I felt like he's singing it to me? Aiiissshhht... It isn't me for sure. I snorted at the thought. How could it be me? It's impossible. I felt a tear escape from eye. "Hey... what's wrong?"

"Nothing... I don't like to listen anymore, can we just share?" I asked pointing at the PMP. It'd be better to just watch a movie, than listen to those kinds of words... I worked so hard to be able to face him straight and not breakdown in front him. And now, just hearing those lyrics, and his voice singing it, somehow rekindled the betrayal I felt before... No... I don't want to repeat what had happened before. "Is it okay?" I asked.

"Sure!!" He beamed at me before giving me the other ear piece.

Yes, this movie is really better than that song....

Present 2009

The time has come for the girls to be introduced to the public. Not in a club YG owns but a real public appearance in a show or a music video. Yang Hyun Suk has been thinking about it for several months now.

How will he be able to present the girls to Korea and make them want to see them more? Yes, he has started hearing a buzz of opinions from people after a fanaccount of what had happened in Japan was read by fans of YG Entertainment.

Many had been waiting for the appearance of this new group, expecting a different girl group than those who are already in the business. Knowing that the new idol singers would be from YGE had set their standards quite high, judging from the past and present talents they had.

Right now, the most active group and the most famous in YGE is Big Bang. Funny how even they are still on hiatus and working on their Japanese Albums and Tours, fans are still growing and multiplying. Maybe, it’s because they defy the standard of what people think boy groups should be. They had received much love even from international fans as well as Japanese and Korean fans.

With this in mind, YG had finally decided.

Jiyong’s POV

“Ahhhhh… back in Korea! How I’ve missed you, Seoul!!!!” Seungri shouted.

“Yah, don’t be so loud!” Seunghyun helped the managers in putting their luggage in the van while the girls were already in the van YG prepared for them. We arrived really early in the morning and much unexpected, though there are still a few paparazzi here and there. They were unable to get an interview with them albeit saw the girls coming out of the airport.

Surely the pictures would spread online as we head back to the dorm. I had to send YG hyung a message, I thought. 

YG sunbae finally replied and said that they have  it under control now, and if that there are some other pictures leaking out then, they would do the same thing right away. The last line from his message got me excited though.

“First day back in Seoul and we already have a new project…” I told them.

“Really? What project?” Bae asked, his sun glasses present as always.

“Hyung sent me a message that we will have a new commercial. We need to go to his office this afternoon. I guess a meeting will take place, neh?”

“A commercial, huh. Hhhmmm."

“He said that it’s very crucial that we do our best here. I don’t know what he means by that though.”

“Well, we always do our best anyways.” Dae got inside the van followed by the Maknae and our other members. The girls van had long been gone for they do not have many things with them anyway so they had probably headed back to the dorm.

“I saw you with Dara-noona awhile ago. Are the both of you in good terms now?” Hyung asked, he was seated beside me while the two maknaes are at the back of the car and Bae occupied the passenger seat beside our manager.

“Why? Had we ever been on bad terms?” I asked.

“If I remember it correctly, you were so intent in irritating her the whole time we were in Japan, and then the next thing I knew, you’re seated beside each other, she sleeping, her head resting on your shoulder. Quite a sight, if you ask me bro.”

“Yes, hyung! But you know what, you look good together!” Seungri butted in.

“Yah! This is hyungs conversations only. No Maknaes allowed.” I growled at him.

“But hyung, don’t you think she’s quite familiar? ‘Cause I was staring at her when were waiting for our flight, I think I’ve seen her before.”

“Aigoo~ you always say that Seungrat whenever you see a beautiful woman.” Then Seunghyun hyung imitated him. “..’Haven’t we met before? I think I saw her sometime last year…’ aigoo~~ we won’t buy that anymore.” Hyung smirked.

“No hyung!” but hyung wasn’t paying him any attention anymore, determined not to listen to him and his rants. “Aigoo~ You believe me right? Ji hyung?”

“Eh? Why are you asking me?” must pretend to be sleeping for he would pester me about it if I won’t.

“Arrgggghhh! Why aren’t you people believing me???!!!”

It’s impossible to have met her before. I don’t remember her. But her voice really sounds like that of the woman in my dreams, which I find weird. If that is her, why would I dream about her?

Did I have an accident that made me forget her? Aigoo~ I don’t remember being involved in an accident. Argghh. Nevermind. This is what I get for even considering the outrageous thoughts of that maknae. =.=

We already took some rest this morning after arriving from Japan and after freshening up, we headed to the YG Building where Yang Goong hyung was waiting for us.

“Just go inside…” his secretary told us.

I knocked thrice and pushed the door ajar before finally opening it widely in his signal. “Come in.”

We sat at the leather couch in his office, where he usually receives his guests. Huge portraits of YG Artists from the past ‘till present time were lined up all over the office’s wall. I saw 2ne1’s picture just beside ours, looking fierce and sexy at the same time.

“I take it, Jiyong had already informed you that you’ll have a commercial?”

“Deh, sunbae-nim.” My members chorused.

“And that it is very important that you give your best in this one?”

“Deh…”

“Do you have a hunch as to why that is? I know you all do your best in every project, and to that I am so proud to have you in my company. But this one is different. Aside from satisfying the company we are going to endorse, we will also introduce to the people our new girl group.”

Ahh… so that’s why.

“So, aside from helping your hubaes in getting into the Entertainment industry, you’d also serve as their advisors. They are quite new, as you all know, and are not yet accustomed to the schedules they might have in the future.”

We listened attentively at our sunbae slash hyung’s words about our responsibilities as figuratively elder brothers of 2ne1.

“Do you have any questions?” all of us shook our heads for we understood what he had just asked us to do. “Tomorrow you’ll start filming the commercial. The girls were already informed.”

A commercial with 2ne1? Hhhmmm.

“Jiyong, you stay. We still have something to talk about.”

“You’ll be working on your first solo album, son.” Yang Goon hyung told me after the members went out of the office. It was a very good news indeed! But…

“How about the other members, hyung?” I asked.

“Of course they have their own solo projects as well. Since you are all still taking a break from your Japan tour, I decided to give you solo projects, all of you. But in solo albums, I want you to be the first one to lead your group solo activities.”

“So after me, you’ll also give the other members solo projects?” as much as I am so happy to finally be given a chance to have a solo album, I still think of my members’ career.

“Yes, it’s you first. I can’t let you all have solo projects at the same time. It would be better if fans would be able to support each of you in your own time.”

“Yes, sunbae.”

“So, you may start writing songs you would want to be included in your album, maybe you could ask for Teddy’s and Kush’s help in arranging the songs and compositions.”

“Deh…”

“Hyung, what did YG sunbae want?” Seungri asked, not even waiting for me to settle down on the sit beside him before asking. They were waiting for me at the YG Building’s cafeteria.

“I’m going to have a solo album.” I disclosed.

“Wow! That’s great hyung!” Dae beamed at me.

“Yeah. Ji, you deserve this. You’ve been really hard on yourself. And we thank you for always being patient with us. Now, it’s time that you make a name for yourself alone. Make a name not Big Bang’s fearsome leader but as a solo artist, G-Dragon.” Bae happily put his arms over my shoulder and playfully choked me.

“Ahh… I wish, YG Sunbae would give us all a chance to do solo performances…” Seungri pouted.

“Well, hyung said that he would but not all at the same time maknae. It wouldn’t be good if we would promote at the same time. Our fans wouldn’t be able to give their full support to each of us.”

“Aww~~ but I really want to…”

“Aigoo~ you kid. Okay, I’ll try to ask sunbae if I can feature you or maybe add one bonus solo track for you.” Seungri is really dear to me. Since he is like the baby in our group, we sometimes end up spoiling him. Which I think is not good, but we still do.

“YESSS!”

“I said I will ‘TRY’, panda. Don’t get your hopes up yet.”

“It’s okay hyung! Haha. I’m still very happy that you’ll consider it. Hehe.” He then started jumping around like a kid and running around the table we are occupying. Then he stopped and sat down between Seunghyun hyung and Bae. “But if ever we will have solo activities, what would you like to do, hyungs?” he asked, looking from Seunghyun, to Young Bae and to Daesung. He is really so enthusiastic about this.

The three thought about it for a moment. Seunghyun hyung started, “Well, I really wanted to try acting. I think acting is a really high form of art. You set aside your true self and let your role swallow you up during the duration of the filming. It’s so cool. I hope I could do it and see if I would do well.”

“Well, that’s awesome hyung!” I exclaimed. “We’ll venture to different paths and try whatever we wanted to and see if we could survive at those fields. That one is good, acting huh?” I smirked.

“I guess, many girls and Ajhummas as well would love to see you in their TV screens hyung!” Daesung cheerfully added.

“Then you will win acting awards!” Seungri said with much gaiety in his voice. Then he stood up and scrambled up onto the table, grabbed a bottle of mineral water on his way. “And the Best New Actor Award goes to… dun… dun… dun... dun… dun…” he acted as if he was manually hitting several drums around him. “CHOI SEUNGHYUN!!!!!!!!!” he roared, making us laugh at his silliness.

“How about you Bae?” I asked.

“Well, there is nothing else I would like to do than singing or dancing, so I guess, it would be great if Sunbae would also give me a chance to have an album or a mini-album. I would love to share the talents that God has given me to other people. Maybe, I might be able to inspire some of them to also achieve their dreams and be what they want to be.” He (another word for said) grinning widely at me. “But I want you to write the songs for me, bro. Your songs always top the charts! Since I am your best pal, you should help, arasseo?”

“Ara… ara… I’d contribute some songs…” I grinned back.

“Dae, what’s yours?” TOP hyung asked our always ever smiling Daesung.

“I want to be a host in a comedy show, or variety show.” Daesung said with conviction. “I’d love to make many people laugh and forget their problems even just for a short while. Making them smile, and momentarily try to ease the heaviness in their hearts. That’s what I want to do.” All of us smiled at his dream. As always, Dae has been the most kind-hearted among us. He’s a true angel here on earth. I have never been so proud of my members. They are not only great people with astounding talents but big hearts as well. “But…”

“Eh? But what Dae?” I asked.

“Hyung, YG sunbae might not want me to be at a variety show. He always refuses offers of us guesting on those kind of shows…” he mumbled worriedly. “If that’s the case then I would be happy if I could also try acting or maybe, dubbing? It would be fun to dub the voice of Shinichi Kudo! Hehe.”

“Well, I am sure hyung would allow you whatever you want to do. He always listens to us. Don’t worry. Maybe, he’d allow you to be a host of a comedy show, to act and to dubbed shinichi kudo plus Naruto and Heidi as well!” Seunghyun hyung tried to make Dae believe that what he wants for his solo activities is possible.

“But for now, we have to go back at the dorm and sleep early; we’ll be starting our recording with 2ne1 tomorrow. Let’s go!!!! Whooossshh…” I raced with them back to our van, as the staff at the YG building just smiled and followed our running forms with their eyes, twinkling with amusement.
