December 2009. I read fanfictions even before that time.
Yes, I do. I love reading. But During those days I am more into reading FanFictions at FF.net. Mostly from Shaman King and Harry Potter Fandom, (Sailor Moon, I only read stories of JFrost and Alicia Blade!). But then, I suddenly thought, maybe there is also a fanfiction for my favorite celebrity couples? That time I searched for Yoon Eun Hye and Joo Ji Hoon. But there were only a few. >.< I searched for Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng and that's how I found Winglin.
Yes. It all started at winglin. There I saw sooo many pairings and I am amazed. I love Big Bang and 2ne1 and so I searched stories about them. Mind you I am not an appler that time but the title caught my attention.
HIDDEN LOVE.
I don't usually look at who the writer is so I read it without really seeing the name of the author (I know it is painfully visible but I am just like that. If I don't focus on anything I won't really notice it).
Come to think of it. After reading Hidden Love. I have started to look more into DARAGON. I don't know DaraGon Hideout yet at that time.
And so I busied myself with just watching the Hello performances and also the videos of applers all over YT.
Then there comes Mhod. She's a part timer in the company I am working for and I saw her reading FanFiction at winglin too.
She's still new at that time and we really aren't that close yet but when I asked her what she's doing she said she's reading a FanFiction. Big Bang FanFiction. So I asked for a good FanFiction about DaraGon. You know I have been hooked by hidden love. And I am craving more and more. But I don't know where to start.
Then she said, "read hagocimit's works."You know, I am a very forgetful person. When it comes to novels and stories. I would usually remember the story but not the author or title of it.
"Hago what?"
"Oh. That's the name of the writer. it's good."
"Ah. give me a specific fic."
"Hhhmm.. I think you should start with hidden love." is what she recommended.
So when Mhod recommended it to me, I did not know that I already read it. I only realized it when I read the summary. And boom.
"Mhod! I already read this!" but she was having a class that time so she could not response right away.
And since we have Mr. Google right here which is always reliable when searching, I typed and searched for hagocimit's other works.
There I came across with her other works:
Spiderweb of Love 1 &2,
and Stubborn Hearts.
That time stubborn hearts took my heart away.
The plot line is so good that I could not stop myself from reading the updates over and over. It is laced with mystery and suspense.
But what draw me and hooked me in this fiction is the cute cat and mouse relationship of the two main characters.
Kwon Jiyong. The mysterious. Cold. Reserve. the pest.
Dara Park. the princess. brat. talkative.
They are so opposite. But hey! Opposites attract. and that's clearly what happened. hehe.
Of course who could forget the character who many dara biased wanted to kill? SeoHyun! Mind you, I don't swear but because that of that character, I could not contain my anger! gah!
Wooyoung! I already had a hunch that he's a part of the other group chasing Dara and Ji. And I was just right!
This is what I really like in hago's way of writing. She leaves you craving for more everytime she ends a chapter and lives you many questions to unravel.
It's also tinged with Drama! She made me cry a river many times during the duration of the fic. When Jiyong's grandparents were killed. When Jiyong was being tortured, protecting Dara. When Dara decided to give herself to Sang Won (That evil Jerk!)
Everything about this story thrilled me. But of course, all things must come into an end. But I still want more! I want more DaraGon. I have been inflicted with Daragon virus I can't back out anymore.
So I was in heaven when she announced that she's writing three new fics! Ah! There is a God!!! I screamed. haha.
Okay I am just kidding. Of course I know there is a God and I love him.
But I truly am in a state of bliss.
I read The selfless Love, Phantom Memories and Unmask. Yes, and I dearly loved it.
I kind of drifted off sometime in the middle of 2010. I stopped reading Fanfictions but went on to updating the fanfictions I started last 2009. As I have said in Tales, I am only a part-time writer, I love reading more than writing that I stopped writing just to devour many FanFictions.
it's been so long since I have read Fics from Hago. Not because I don't like her stories anymore, but because winglin is blocked!
OMG! Ottoke!? Ottoke?! I only read FFs of hago in winglin.
Bah! I totally forgot that I also have AFF and that she's also at AFF! I really whacked my head for only remembering it weeks ago!
Mhod asked me before what other stories from hago am i reading right now, and I recommended this one right away.
It's dark and mysterious just like the characters. It's enchanting and captivating. But yeah I drifted off to writing and winglin had some virus (accdg to mrs. kwonjiyong of AFF).
So I stopped reading it.
After updating my fics at AFF. I remembered suddenly, that Hago has an account there too. I searched her and yeah. she's actually on my friends' list! yay!
I was skipping and giggling and jumping around my room like the lunatic that I am for at long last! I will be able to read her works again! Toohoo~!
I have missed The Shadows so much. OS I started reading it from the very start. I stopped at around 46, 47 or 48 that time and my net connection decided to act up.
So I could not log in to AFF. And yesterday, when I went to the office and finally get a chance (Boss not around! it's friday, they go out and play golf! Pweewee!) and I was shocked!
It's been just a week and I already missed 13 chapters! OMG! And everyone is so hyped up of the updates!
I wanted to read it rightaway! But I have consecutive classes everyday and the only time I stop is the draw in a breath and call another student again.
Of course, If the updates that I've missed are too long already, I don't want to read it on the computer. I read it on my phone, copy it on my notepad and read it all night long.
I did that! I forced myself not to close my eyes and continue reading it till it's already 3 Am! yes! Cuz I usually arrive home at 1 am or 1.30. depends on what time I am able to ride a cab or jeepney.
OMG! I wanted to comment in every chapter like I used to in Winglin but Is it okay to do that in AFF too?
So I decided to just write my reviews here.
From chapters 46-59.
On second thought, I'd just write a whole review for that story! It's officially one of my favorites! So it goes to my memoirs reservoirs. ^_^
