Chapter 1

It's monday again! Tch. I don't feel like going to school yet I have to. My parents would kill me if I won't so I have no choice but to go.

Good thing is that my friends also go there. Bom, CL and Minzy are my best friends. We have known each other for quite a long time now that we view each other as sisters.

Our school is a co-ed private school and the teachers are also good BUT strict. Did I tell you why I don't like going to school? Well, because there are so many guys who asks if I am still single or if I wanted to be their girlfriend.

I'm not being cocky or anything but it has somehow become annoying after a few months. I am getting tired of telling them that I don't like them.

Well, I believe that somehow there is a man God had destined to be with me and I am quite sure that he is just preparing him before he finally let him meet me. Yes, my friends would often laugh at me whenever I tell them that.

They would say that I would be an old maid if I would get hooked up with someone right now.

I don't care. I don't want to push myself and force myself to fall in love just because I am aging every year. And besides, I am still young to even think about dating.

I want to experience the real thing. How it feels when you are in love and you are being loved. How a guy, who you also likes, would court you and you pretend not to care.

I giggled why walking happily down the road towards school.

"Dara!! Good Morning!" Bom ran back towards me. She was talking to someone but she left him or her when she saw me near the gate of the school. Was it her new boyfriend?

"Annyeong!" I waved back at her. "Who were you talking to? Was he your new boyfriend?"

"Of course not! It's my cousin."

"Oh," I thought it's her boyfriend.

"He just graduated this year. And I think he's looking for his friend." Her cousin surely looks so young from afar. I thought he's just a high school student.

Bom continued her ranting about her cousin while they marched up the stairs towards their classroom.

"Apparently, his friend was admitted here at our school as a new music teacher. He was his classmate in the university. Amazing right? I mean he had just grduated yet the school already offered him a teaching job at our school."

So our school has a new teacher, huh? He must be really good to be asked to teach here. I don't know if we are going to have that friend of Bom's cousin as our teacher but if ever i hope he's really good for i love music. It's teh only subject i enjoy attending to aside from English.

The bell rang. Students scrambled on their way to their classrooms, trying to race with time.

"Hurry up, bommie! We'll be late!"

*******************

"Did you see him?"

"The new teacher?"

"He's so cute!"

"He looks so young!"

Everywhere we go, I can hear people talking about teh new teacher.

I tried not to say anything nor to comment but because of what I'm hearing, I also grew curious about this new teacher. Probably the youngest teacher in our school. And so I listened to their conversation.

"Yah! Bom-unnie! You said, he's your cousin's friend right?"  Bom who is munching a corn stopped to look at CL. "Have you seen him?"

She swallowed first before shaking her head. "No, I have not seen him yet. my cousin and I live in the same house since his parents are in US but he never brings his classmates to our house. He would just go out and study either at his friend's or at the library."

"With all this commotion at school that he's stirring I bet he's quite a cutie. Yah! Dara-unnie! What do you think?" CL nudged me.

I pointed at myself. "Why are you asking me?"

CL shrugged. "Nothing. I just want to ask you. You seem to be in deep thought, unnie."

They continued their conversation for I don't really know what to say. And I don't care much. A teacher will always be a teacher. He's here to teach so that he is to me.

A teacher.
