Part 3

Nothing's Gonna Stop Us...

A couple is anxiously waiting outside the president's office. The girl kept on fidgeting and nervously glancing at the guy sitting next to her.

She is extremely happy that her best friend (whom she holds dearly in her heart) returned the feelings she has for him. It was almost a happy ending, but unfortunately, there is something that they need to battle first before they can finally be together.

The door to the president's office opened and Dong wook stepped out. His expression never letting out what could have transpired between the boss and him.

He looked at them with a pensive expression.

"Yah! Hyung! Don't give us that look! What did the Boss tell you?!"

"Mianhe, Jiyong. The president wants to tell it to the both of you personally."

"Wookie.. Is he angry??"

Se7en held her hand and said, "Don't worry Dara. Maybe, he won't ask you to stop seeing each other. He's pretty upset that you both ignored the rule." he shook his head dramatically. "Maybe he'll just ask you to quit 2ne1..."

Dara gasped. "Hyung! Do you want me to call Byul noona???!! Why are you scaring my girl?!"

But se7en stood his ground and just shrugged. "I was just stating the possibilities..."

"Ugh. Jagiya, let's go." he grabbed Dara's hand away from seven's hold. "One way or the other, we have to face hyunsuk hyung, anyway."

He knows how important this job is for Dara. He should. They had been best friends for quite a long time now and although Sanghyun is already helping the family too, Dara still has this burden of being the eldest child. She's very hardworking and dedicated. And she loves her family above everyone else.

So he kind of undertood if she would choose to stop this relationship.

They say that Jiyong was the only one who does not fear or get intimidated by YG. Would he be able to convince the big boss to let them be together? After all, he knew what he has planned. Only that it should have happened the next day, not today.

Jiyong stole a quick glance at his butterfly before knocking on the door.

"Come in."

He felt Dara stiffened. He squeezed her hand affectionately, and without looking at her, he murmured "Don't worry jagiya, all will be well," as he pushed the glass door open.

HyunSuk eyed his two talents. They were trying their best not to look affected by his stares, especially Jiyong. Dara however needs more to be able to not feel intimidated.

Dara could not take it anymore so she decided to speak up  and face the wrath of the president. She did promise to wait three years before going in a relationship. And by breaking this promise and rule, there are always consequences.

The question is, can she take it? If YG-sunbae would ask her to leave 2ne1, how can she help support her family. Her career has bloomed and she can say that she's pretty famous now. But she does not want to part with YG. It's her home, his family in the entertainment industry and being thrown away and not be part of this awesome lot would really hurt her.

She does not want to join any other agency. She started at YG, she will end her career at YG too.

"Sunbae.."

"Hyung, I will take Dara's consequence."

"Ji!"

"Really?" YG asked, raising an eyebrow at the young man. "What if i asked you to leave Big Bang?"

"No, Sunbae, please don't listen to him. I will take whatever punishment you have in mind for me. I am the one who broke the rule. Please, leave Jiyong out of this."

She totally forgot about her case. Jiyong had been so good to her. Now that she think of it, he had always been there for her. Through ups and downs. Through heaven and hell of her rollercoaster career in Korea. He never left her.

And she knows how much music means to him. How much he loves performing. She could not even picture Big bang without him.

"Can you hear yourself talking Dara?! You have a family you have to support.  I can still write songs for them." He said the last part with sadness in his voice. She knows how much it would hurt his members for him to leave them.

No she would not allow it.

"It seems like you both want to sacrifice your careers for the other..."

They both looked at YG. "You know that many fans would not like it."

"But all of them agreed that they would not tell a soul. They promised." it was dara. still so trusting and innocent.

"Yes, they promised, but we would not be able to tell who'll keep their promise and who will not. And if ever someone would know about it, or any fancams posted on the video sharing sites at all, it would ruin both of your careers."

"I trust the fans. I know they would not disclose anything."

"Yes, our fans are loyal and they have word of honor. We trust them."

Silence filled the room but the resolved of the lovers did not falter even for a second. They believe that they can both handle their careers and have a relationship as well.

As if reading their thoughts, "It's hard to balance your careers and relationship. One way or another, it would always affect both of your performances, which of course Jiyong had already experienced. Am I right?"

"It would never happen again hyung. I finally have my butterfly. And you know, you know how long I've waited for this. I would gladly take the punishment and face all those stages you prepared for the suitors. We will make sure that our relationship would not be known to the public."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes."

"What if the public somehow knew of this?"

"Then I will voluntarily leave YGE."

"You do know that Big Bang would not be the same without you. Your members would suffer because of your selfishness."

"I know they would understand."

"The fans would hate you and most especially dara."

"Those fans who would feel such way towards either of us are not true VIPs or blackjacks. For if they truly loves us, they would be happy for the both of us."

It was a battle between YG and Jiyong while Dara stayed silent. She'd let jiyong handle this. She knows that YG listens to him and his reasons are always plausible. So..

"Well, I must agree to that but you still can't erase the fact that there will always be many fans who would not approve of your relationship."

"Then I will prove them how much Dara and I belong together."

The serious face of hyunsuk suddenly broke into his usual playful smile. "My boy is really in love, huh?"

"Hyung! You already know long time ago!"

"Yeah, only dara seems to be dense and quite oblivious to it."

Now they are both teasing her? wait. What happened to the punishment? so no one leaves now?, Dara was so confused and the two felt and read her confusion.

"Dara, you know that you still have the three year no boyfriend rule. Everybody knows it. I won't stop you from seeing each other but just as I have mentioned be sure no one would know about it.

"You are both lucky that those fans are really loyal YGE fans and they all (almost) accepted you but those who did not, let me handle it. Just make sure no scandal, no news nor pictures of you together alone will come out. OR ELSE."

"Yes, sir." She's already crying. She's so happy that she would not have to leave 2ne1. And Jiyong would still be able to be with the Bigbang. She wanted to hug Boss YG but she thought better of it. He might change his mind again if she does so.

"Ahjumma! Why are you crying?! I told you you can date Jingyo already!"

"Nae," she smiled and wiped the tears away, sniffling and giggling. "Thank you, sunbae..."

"I told you it'll all be well." They were in his Bentley. He decided to send his girlfriend home. He smiled giddily at that thought. Ah.. girlfriend... My butterfly star...

"Why are you smiling like that?"

"Nothing. I am just so happy that you are officially mine now."

"Awww~~ namja chingu, you are making me blush." She said covering her face with both of her hands acting like a shy high school girl. Then she put her hands down suddenly. A question popped up in her mind. "Anyway, the song you sang, it's..."

"An opm song. yes. It's english so i did not have a hard time learning it. I know how much you love singing them. I have another one for you!"

He began to hum a tune before singing..

 

And we can build this dream together

Nothing's gonna stop us now.

He stopped and grinned at his baby girl he was waiting to hear her compliment his singing but instead Dara continued the song. Her sweet voice brought a smile on his face.

And if the wolrd runs out of lovers

We'll still have each other

Nothing's gonna stop us.
